Your deck never leaves this device

There is no upload and no server behind this. Do not take my word for it though — turn off your wifi and run it again. It still works, because the file is opened by your own browser and nothing is ever sent anywhere. I am competing in SIH too, and you would be right not to hand your unsubmitted idea to someone who is.

About this list

What the numbers mean, where the data comes from, and how to read the board before you commit six people to one statement.

How many problem statements are there in SIH 2026?

258 at the last sync — 189 software and 69 hardware, across 17 themes. That number is not fixed. Ministries kept adding statements through September, so the board opened smaller than it is now and a team that shortlisted in the first week has never seen the most recent ones. As of the last sync, 84,127 ideas have been submitted across the whole board.

What does the number beside each problem statement mean?

It is how many ideas have already been submitted against that statement, out of a cap of 500. The official portal shows today's figure and then overwrites it, so there is no way to tell from sih.gov.in whether a statement went from 10 to 90 this week or has been sitting at 90 since August. This page keeps yesterday's numbers, which is the only reason a direction can be shown at all. The record goes back to 28 August 2026, across 30 daily snapshots.

Can a problem statement fill up and close early?

Every statement carries the same cap of 500 idea submissions. In practice very few reach it, and the ones that get close are the broadly-worded statements every team recognises on a first read. The cap is worth knowing about mainly so that it is never the thing that surprises you on the last evening — check the count on the statement you have chosen before you assume the slot is there.

How do we choose a problem statement our team can actually build?

Read it for the skill it assumes rather than the skill it names. A statement will say it needs an app and quietly need somebody who has worked with geospatial data, or a model trained on something nobody on the team has touched. That gap never shows up on day one; it shows up when an evaluator asks who is handling that part and the team looks at each other. The matcher on this page scores every statement against the six people you actually have and names what is missing.

How often is this list updated?

Twice a day, mirrored from sih.gov.in. The record goes back to 28 August 2026, across 30 daily snapshots. The statement text, the organisation, the theme and the idea count all come from the official listing — nothing here is rewritten, and the brief on each statement page is the full official one.

Is this the official Smart India Hackathon website?

No. The official portal is sih.gov.in, and every submission goes through it and through your college SPOC — nothing on this page substitutes for either. This is a free mirror built by a past SIH national winner, made searchable and scored against your team, with the daily counts the official portal does not keep. The listed deadline is 5 October 2026.
